Things are heating up in the Tabaski Ngom case, in which MP Moustapha Diop is called to appear before the Financial Judicial Pool (PJF). The MPs are being summoned to a plenary session this Friday, March 21, 2025, to consider lifting Mayor Louga's parliamentary immunity, the National Assembly's communications unit announced in a press release. The former minister has already been questioned by the ad hoc committee, which will submit its findings to the Assembly for approval during this session.

"The deputies are summoned to a plenary session on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 3 p.m. The agenda includes the examination of the conclusions of the ad hoc committee responsible for ruling on the request for the lifting of the parliamentary immunity of deputy Moustapha Diop," the note emphasizes.

Tabaski Ngom, a Treasury inspector and former APROSI accounting officer, has been placed in custody and is being prosecuted for alleged embezzlement of public funds. She claims to have disbursed 700 million CFA francs that she lent to the former minister to finance his campaign during the last legislative elections. Former APROSI Director General Momath Ba, also named in the case, has posted bail of 90 million CFA francs to benefit from judicial supervision.

In an exclusive interview with Jacob Post TV, the MP spoke out for the first time on this matter. "I financed my election campaign entirely with my own funds. All the money I used can be traced. Therefore, I have nothing to hide. If candidates were asked to justify their funding, I would be the first to do so," he defended himself, refuting the accusations against him.
