Gamou Bakhdad 2025 : Une édition inédite en préparation avec Serigne Khadim Gaydel Lô
In Thiès, excitement is palpable as the Gamou of Touba-Bakhdad approaches, a high-profile religious event that attracts pilgrims from all over Senegal and the diaspora each year. "Never has an edition celebrating the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) been as well prepared as this year's Bakhdad," notes the event's organizing committee.
An exceptional mobilization
The preparations undertaken by Serigne Khadim Lô and the organizers demonstrate an exceptional mobilization. Committees are hard at work welcoming the faithful, organizing logistics, and putting together a rich program: a scientific committee, religious conferences, Quranic recitations, anegyric performances, and songs in honor of the Prophet (PBUH).

The organizing committee recalls that Serigne Saliou Mbacké, during his lifetime, had ordered Serigne Khadim to celebrate the Gamou in Thiès with all Muslims. In this memorable interview, he assured him of his spiritual presence, wherever he might be on earth.

L’insécurité est aujourd’hui une réalité alarmante qui fragilise nos quartiers, menace la jeunesse et installe la peur là où devrait régner la paix. Vols, agressions, perte des valeurs… tout cela témoigne d’un déséquilibre social et moral qu’il est urgent de corriger.
En ce jour béni du Gamou, où nous commémorons la naissance du Prophète Muhammad ﷺ, il est de notre devoir de réfléchir aux paroles de Serigne Khadim Lo Gaydel, héritier d’une tradition de lumière et de guidance. Il rappelait que : « Ku dundu ci kaw njub ak xam-xam, du am ragal ci boppam, ndax Yàlla moo koy sàmm. »
👉 Celui qui vit dans la droiture et la connaissance n’a rien à craindre pour lui-même, car c’est Allah qui le protège.
