The 33rd edition of the International Jazz Festival is preparing to thrill the 300-year-old city of Saint-Louis to the rhythm of the greatest jazz sounds. Two renowned artists will be featured, according to the organizers, who revealed the information in a press release. This year, the public will have the privilege of discovering Marco Mezquida, a brilliant Spanish pianist, composer, and improviser, who will perform with his trio Tornado, thanks to the support of the Spanish Embassy and the Cultura Dakar program. His virtuoso and daring approach to jazz promises an exceptional performance.

Another confirmed artist: Rosa Brunello, a talented Italian bassist, whose latest album, Senseless Acts of Love, released in May 2024, perfectly illustrates the expressive power of jazz. Her music, driven by captivating melodies and a profound sense of improvisation, will be highlighted thanks to the support of the Italian Embassy and the Italian Cultural Institute, according to Music In Africa.

The organizers assure that other names will soon enrich the program. "We will not fail, as we go along, to add artists to the bill and the program," they declared.
