Ma Sané cède ses œuvres aux artistes de la nouvelle génération
In an unexpected statement, Senegalese diva Ma Sané announced during an interview with Seneweb this weekend that she was making all of her works available to the new generation of artists.
Invited as part of the release of her new album Mama Essamay and the preparation of her big concert planned in Dakar in April 2026, the singer from Thiès expressed her desire to share her repertoire with young Senegalese talents. "I give all my songs to my brothers and sisters of the new generation of Senegalese singing artists. Many have already covered my songs without my permission, but this fills me with pride and pleasure. From now on, they are free to cover them, because my songs are intended for the general Senegalese public, and I am very proud of it," she declared enthusiastically.
Lead singer of the Thiès-based band Waflash for nearly a decade, Ma Sané, who lives abroad, is pursuing a successful solo career on major European stages, particularly in France, where her talent and performances are widely recognized. With the recent release of her album Mama Essamay, she continues to captivate her audiences. In addition to her planned mega-concert in Dakar, she has announced a series of shows across Senegal in 2026, promising to reconnect with her local audience.
