Sommet du patronat africain à Nairobi : Baïdy Agne plaide pour une Afrique unie et solidaire
On September 8 and 9, 2025, Nairobi, Kenya, will host the African Business Summit, a major gathering bringing together hundreds of business leaders from across the continent. The opening ceremony was chaired by His Excellency Kithure Kindiki, Vice President of the Republic of Kenya.
At the helm of Business Africa, President Baïdy Agne delivered a strong message in favor of a united and supportive Africa in the face of major socioeconomic challenges. He pledged to support the new social contract, the Global Coalition for Social Justice initiated by the International Labor Organization (ILO).
In his speech, Baïdy Agne invited business leaders to provide concrete and sustainable responses to the continent's major challenges, which include: technological changes and digital transition, climate economy and sustainable development, valuing the demographic dividend, food, energy and economic sovereignty.
He also recalled the essential conditions for the development of African business: social peace, political stability, investment protection, good economic and budgetary governance, inclusive public-private dialogue and constructive tripartite social dialogue.
Under the presidency of Baïdy Agne, Business Africa intends to strengthen its role through three major axes: promoting co-investments between African private investors, developing strategic alliances with foreign investors, and accelerating the economic, financial and monetary integration of the continent.
The Nairobi summit thus marks an important step for African employers, determined to play a central role in the economic transformation and unity of Africa.
