In a statement, Benjamin Netanyahu's office said Israel "held back" from further attacks on Iran on Tuesday following a call between US President Donald Trump and the Israeli prime minister.

Israel and Iran accused each other Tuesday morning of violating the ceasefire announced by Mr. Trump after 12 days of war, according to a statement from Mr. Netanyahu's office. The ceasefire was supposed to take effect at 7 a.m., but Iran violated it twice by firing missiles at Israel. "At 7:06 a.m., Iran launched a missile toward Israeli territory, then two more at 10:25 a.m. These missiles were intercepted or fell in uninhabited areas, without causing any casualties or damage ," the statement said.

In retaliation, Israel "destroyed a radar installation near Tehran" and, "following the conversation between [Messrs. Trump and] Netanyahu, Israel refrained from further strikes ," the Prime Minister's office explained.
