Le rappeur Lil Nas X inculpé après avoir déambulé nu dans Los Angeles
Rapper Lil Nas X was charged Monday with assaulting police officers who came to arrest him last week while he was walking naked in the middle of Los Angeles.
The "Old Town Road" singer was arrested Thursday in the Studio City neighborhood.
A video released last week initially showed the 26-year-old artist walking around wearing nothing but white briefs and cowboy boots.
But new images obtained by the website TMZ show the rapper, whose real name is Montero Hill, completely naked.
Last week, a Los Angeles police spokesperson told AFP that "a naked man was walking down the street" around 6 a.m., and that officers had arrested him, without confirming his identity.
"Upon arrival, the suspect rushed the officers. He was taken into custody and taken to the hospital for a possible overdose, then arrested for assaulting a police officer," he added.
Last week's video went viral online. It shows Lil Nas X swaying his hips lasciviously while shouting "Go baby!" at the driver filming him.
"Don't be late to the party tonight!" he adds.
Openly gay and always in flamboyant outfits, Lil Nas X quickly made a splash in the rap world.
Her duet with country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, "Old Town Road," was a worldwide hit. In the United States, the single went 15 times platinum, making it the most certified song of all time by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) until recently.
