In Turkey, Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko also met with heads of major arms and military technology companies to ensure Senegal could benefit from their expertise and tools to address multiple threats.
"Today, we are a country that can boast of ensuring perfect and total security with very solid political stability. But we must protect ourselves against dangers like terrorism. And Turkey, which has succeeded in developing a very solid weapons system, can be that partner," the Prime Minister told President Erdogan on Thursday. Yesterday, Friday, he met with the leaders of these military industries.
General Birame Diop, Minister of the Armed Forces, reports, for example, that with the company Aselsan, the State of Senegal wants to find a framework for collaboration in strengthening our border security. But also, to stimulate "cooperation in cyber defense, coastal surveillance and in the modernization of certain weapons systems used by some of our naval units."
Managers from Havelsan, the other flagship of Turkey's military industry, also attended the Senegalese Prime Minister's meeting. The goal was to work on Senegal's coastal protection. "Havelsan is ready to work with Aselsan so that together they can support us in this mission," the Minister of the Armed Forces stated.
He points out that Hacel San has already been supporting the Senegalese armed forces for several years in training air force crews on light combat aircraft.

Ci Vis Pacem Para Bellum.
