Ndiassane - 11 septembre : Prières et louanges dédiées au Prophète Mouhammad (PSL) rythment la capitale de la Qadiriyya
Like previous editions, the spiritual capital of the Qadiriyya, Ndiassane-la-pieuse, an Islamic sanctuary founded between 1883 and 1884 by Sheikh Bouh Kounta, is beginning to fill up on the occasion of the celebration, on the eighth day, this Thursday, September 11, 2025, of the birth of the Prophet Seyyidinaa Mouhammad Rassoulilah (PSL), Mawlid'Al Naby.
The religious city attracts, at a spectacular rate, numerous pilgrims for the celebration of this year's edition, coming from all over the country and the sub-region. The organizing committee spared no effort in welcoming the faithful who came to celebrate, in the greatest religious fervor, the birth of the best of beings (PBUH), but also to reaffirm their act of allegiance to the family of Sheikh Bouh Kounta.
All instructions were scrupulously followed by the competent technical services of the State for a good organization of the event, under the leadership of the governor of Thiès. The Gamou of the spiritual capital of the Qadiriyya remains marked, among other things, by the reading of the Holy Quran, the meditation at the mausoleums of the venerated Sheikhs. Also, the pilgrims are entitled to religious talks focused on the life and work of the Prophet Seyyidinaa Mouhammad Rassoulilah (PSL).
