Plan Cancer 2025-2029 : «L’objectif est de réduire de 25% la mortalité d’ici 4 ans », (Dr Bachir Ba)
Gynecological and breast cancers are a major public health issue in Senegal. To reverse this trend, Senegal has adopted a 2025-2029 Cancer Plan, with the goal of reducing cancer-related mortality by 25% by 2029.
According to the oncologist-radiation therapist, Mouhamadou Bachir of the Dalal Jamm hospital located in Guédiawaye, it provides for the decentralization of care with equipped regional centers (radiotherapy, anatomo-pathology and medical imaging laboratories), a reinforced increase in funding with the generalization of the subsidy for chemotherapy, morphine and palliative care and concrete indicators to achieve 95% availability of essential medicines (including immunotherapies and anticancer drugs), equipping 100% of centers with inverters and generators to make care more reliable and developing structured continuing education programs.
The expert also noted that the fight against gynecological and breast cancers also relies on active prevention by ensuring the diagnosis of at least 50% of cancers, the availability of at least 95% and the treatment according to standards for 100% of diagnosed cancers. According to him, HPV vaccination can prevent cervical cancer. He also indicated early detection by visual inspection with acetic acid (VIA) as well as the promotion of self-examination and clinical screening for breast cancer.
This plan envisions equitable and sustainable care. The expected transformations are based on prevention, screening, training, equipment, decentralization, and communication. "The success of the Cancer Plan will depend as much on political will as on societal commitment, in which journalists and community actors play a strategic role," said Dr. Mouhamadou Bachir Ba yesterday during the workshop on women's cancers organized in Dakar, at the conference room of the International Center for Research and Training in Applied Genomics and Health Surveillance (CIGASS) at Cheikh Anta Diop University. The meeting was held at the initiative of the Association of Journalists in Health, Population and Development (AJSPD), through the Santé en lumière project, in partnership with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, to equip reporters so that they become effective relays of awareness and advocacy.

les medecins et les professeurs sont hors de portée
Les gargotes, les huiles d' Aziz Ndiaye, le tabac, les bouillons, le contrôle technique des véhicules ( mesures d'opacité), le contrôle des aliments qui entrent dans ce pays, le contrôle des fast foot devenu le lieu d'alimentation des Sénégalais, la vente incontrôlée de produits chimiques ( fel, matt, mbott), , la promiscuité des ménages, le stress des Sénégalais....
Il suffit d'apporter des solutions concrètes à es constats pour réduire drastiquement la problématique.
Dans les fast foot, l'huile de cuisson des frites est utilisée toute une journée

Je propose qu'on vend un cube bouillon à 3000f et verser les 2970f à un fonds pour prendre en charge les malades du cancer et du on agit directement sur la santé de la population car le prix d'un cube ne sera plus à la portée de tout le monde
