Saraya – Saiensoutou : Une route impraticable met des vies en danger

The road linking Saraya to Saiensoutou, via Missirah Sirimana, has become a veritable ordeal for road users. Over thirty years old, this section, in an advanced state of disrepair, turns into a death trap every rainy season. The latest incident: the ambulance from the Missirah Sirimana health center, transporting a patient, got stuck in the mud. A tragic situation that compromised the patient's chances of survival.

Residents report that this is not an isolated incident. Several vehicles have already gotten stuck or even overturned on this stretch, causing significant material damage and accentuating the feeling of abandonment among the population.

For years, local residents have been making urgent appeals to local and national authorities for the urgent rehabilitation of this vital road, which links several localities and constitutes a strategic axis for opening up the area.

"Every rainstorm becomes a threat to us. We live in fear of not being able to evacuate a patient in time or of seeing our vehicles destroyed," laments one resident.

Faced with the gravity of the situation, the populations of Saraya and the surrounding villages are once again calling on the State to act quickly to put an end to this road ordeal and guarantee the safety of people and property.
