The Grand-Yoff town hall took advantage of the Zone 7B quarter-finals between ASC Guane gui of Khar Yalla and ASC Darourahmane on September 19, 2025, to present grants to the various sports and cultural associations (ASC) of the town at the Diaguily Bakayoko stadium in Grand-Yoff.

An envelope of 250,000 FCfa was given to each of the nineteen (19) ASCs of the commune and a sum of 500,000 FCfa to the circle of supervisors of Grand-Yoff (zone 7B).

The objective of this financial support from the municipal team is to "enable the ASCs to meet their financial needs in terms of sport," declared Ousmane Gueye, deputy mayor and in charge of Sport and Leisure for the commune of Grand-Yoff.

For his part, El Hadj Omar Gueye, municipal secretary, urged officials to invest in cultural and educational aspects, among others, which are often neglected. "We often tend to see that only the sporting aspect is taken into account, but discussions are being held with the leaders of zone 7B so that these other aspects (education, cultural, etc.) can be included in the component during these holiday periods.

He also invited young people to be ambassadors of non-violence to make each match a popular celebration.

"This grant will enable certain activities to be carried out, particularly in the educational, health, and cultural fields," said Seydou Diémé, President of Zone 7B. He also thanked the municipality for providing these grants and for its availability to the youth of Grand-Yoff.
