Selon Les Échos qui donne l'information, Obama est tombé sous le charme du long métrage de la réalisatrice Franco-sénégalaise. Ce film, qui raconte l'odyssée d'un jeune Sénégalais candidat à l'émigration, a remporté le Grand Prix du Festival de Cannes.
