Réhabilitation du centre de santé Massamba Sall : Le cri du cœur du médecin-chef du district sanitaire de Tivaouane
Dr. Mamadou Ndiaye, Chief Medical Officer of the Tivaouane Health District, accompanied by his staff, launched a solemn appeal to the goodwill of the local population and the department's industries to support the launch of rehabilitation work on the Tivaouane Health Center, commonly known as the Massamba Sall Center. This facility covers 33 health posts in the department.
According to Dr. Ndiaye, the center plays a crucial role in providing basic care before the standard care offered in hospitals. He emphasized the need to equip the center with essential services, including a radiology unit, a level 2 technical platform, an operating theater for obstetric care, an accessible ophthalmology department, a modern dental office, and a basic analysis laboratory. This equipment will ensure better care for the most disadvantaged populations, who are often unable to reach hospitals.
The chief physician also stressed the importance of improving the living environment of the district, through paving, planting trees and flowers, recalling that "health also depends on a healthy and pleasant environment."
Present at the ceremony, the PUMA coordinator, Dr. Ndèye Marième Samb, a native of Tivaouane, reaffirmed her commitment and her availability to support this citizen and health initiative for the benefit of the populations.
