Tribunal de Dakar : Le rappeur 10 000 Problèmes et Lamine Kangam prennent cher
The Dakar High Court delivered its verdict this Wednesday in the extortion case between marabout Serigne Abdoulaye Faye, rapper Mohamed Fall, alias "10,000 Problems," and influencer Lamine Kangam.

Found guilty in the act, the two defendants received different sentences, Seneweb has learned. Lamine Kangam was sentenced to two years in prison, six months of which were suspended, while Mohamed Fall, known by the pseudonym "10,000 Problems," was sentenced to one year in prison, three months of which were suspended. The court also ordered the reimbursement of the sum of 1,300,000 CFA francs received from the victim.
The case stems from the circulation of videos on social media in which the two defendants publicly accused Serigne Abdoulaye Faye of homosexuality. Lamine Kangam even claimed that the marabout had had relationships with young boys, under the pretext of making them millionaires.
According to the findings of the investigation conducted by the Urban Security Service of the Dakar Central Police Station, after posting these accusations, the two influencers allegedly demanded money from the marabout in exchange for deleting the compromising videos. Serigne Abdoulaye Faye allegedly paid 1.3 million CFA francs, but his blackmailers allegedly did not keep their promise.
In court, the two defendants attempted to minimize their responsibility, arguing that these were "simple maneuvers to extract money from Abdoulaye Faye." This line of defense, however, did not convince the court.
