SÉCURITÉ ROUTIÈRE : La police nationale sensibilise les conducteurs et usagers de deux-roues sur l'importance du port de casque
On the night of November 29, 2025, around midnight, two individuals on a motorcycle crashed violently into the central reservation of the Cambérène bridge and died instantly. The national police issued a public awareness message to drivers and users of two-wheeled vehicles to prevent similar tragedies.
"This painful accident reminds us, once again, of the extreme vulnerability of drivers and passengers of two-wheeled vehicles. On a motorcycle, the only bodywork that protects you is your equipment. Wearing an approved and properly fastened helmet is not an option, but a vital obligation," advised the police.
She then emphasized the importance of the helmet. This equipment absorbs the energy of the impact during a fall. It also protects the head, the seat of vital functions, against serious or fatal head injuries.
"Never neglect this equipment. Your life is more precious than a simple oversight. Respect the Highway Code, adapt your speed and, above all, always fasten your helmet. Make every journey a safe journey," the national police stated.
