The Alliance of Sahel States (AES) has taken a further step in its integration with the signing of an agreement to create a joint airline. Concluded in Niamey at the close of the Civil Aviation Days, this commitment aims to strengthen regional connectivity.

Participants also adopted recommendations on pooling resources, setting up regional maintenance and training hubs, and developing air freight.

For the authorities, this initiative reflects a strategic ambition: to make aviation a lever of sovereignty, integration and development for member countries.
