Attaque de drone contre un camp militaire tchadien : Qui joue avec les nerfs du maréchal Déby ?
Chad was struck by a drone attack in the early hours of Thursday, December 25, 2025. The drone targeted the Tiné military camp in the Wadi-Fira (Biltine) province. Two soldiers were killed and another was wounded.
In a statement released the same day, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces denounced "this incursion into the national territory and condemned in the strongest terms (what he describes) as an unjustified aggression against the position of the national army and the territorial integrity of Chad."
The FSR blames the Sudanese army
He said he considered this act "of hostility reprehensible under international law, as an intentional and manifestly deliberate attack (and) warned the belligerents of the Sudanese conflict", inviting them to "strictly respect the sovereignty of Chad".
"Any further violation of national territorial space" will call for a vigorous and firm response from the national armed forces, warned the Chief of the General Staff of the Chadian Armed Forces.
Upon reading this statement, it is easy to understand that N'Djamena suspects the warring parties in the Sudanese conflict of being behind the attack. On social media, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) are clearly being singled out.
The origin of the drone used in the attack is still unknown.
They quickly rejected these accusations, in turn blaming the Sudanese army.
The Sudanese Armed Forces reacted similarly, placing the blame on the FSR.
So far, no one has definitively established the origin of the drone used to attack the Tiné camp. If the perpetrator of the attack is neither the FSR nor the Sudanese national army, then who is playing with Marshal Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno's nerves?
