Bissau: l'opposant Dias affirme avoir remporté la présidentielle et accuse Embalo d'avoir organisé le putsch
"I am the (elected) president of Guinea-Bissau," Mr. Dias declared by telephone, adding that he was "safe" and hiding in the country. The main opposition leader in Guinea-Bissau, Domingos Simoes Pereira, who had been barred from the election and subsequently supported Mr. Dias, was arrested Wednesday afternoon after the military takeover.
The opposition leader says he was able to escape on Wednesday after armed men arrived at his campaign headquarters in Bissau to arrest him.
"There is no coup d'état in Guinea-Bissau," says Mr. Dias, who claims that the putsch was "organized by Mr. Embalo" to prevent him from coming to power.
According to him, he would win the elections with approximately 52% of the votes, without being definitive on this figure.
Guinea-Bissau was awaiting the results of the presidential and legislative elections when the military announced on Wednesday that it was taking power in the country, which has a history marked by coups d'état, and suspending the electoral process.
Since then, outgoing President Embalo has been detained by the military, but he was able to contact international media by telephone in the hours following the coup.
The new junta announced on Thursday the appointment of General Horta N'Tam as president of the transition.

NB: Depuis Madiambal, le mot fuite est mal venu. On a réactualisé le "Goor dawul dafa wuti doolé ". Donc, on s'en va, mais c'est pour préparer sa défense, même pour 100 ans.
