Burkina Faso : un réseau d’escroquerie sur l’or démantelé
The Burkinabe National Police have announced the dismantling of a vast fraud network linked to the gold trade in Ouagadougou.
The group, composed of Burkinabe nationals and expatriates, was allegedly led by an individual posing as an international lawyer. According to authorities, the network was fraudulently attempting to obtain 150 kilograms of gold from a Burkinabe supplier without possessing the necessary financial resources.
The alleged mastermind of the operation had travelled to the Burkinabe capital with several accomplices to prepare this scam before the intervention of the security forces.
