Côte d’Ivoire : Le nouveau Parlement entre en fonction demain samedi 17 janvier

In Ivory Coast, the 255 deputies elected during the Legislative elections of December 27, 2025 are summoned to the inaugural session of the new Parliament tomorrow, Saturday, January 17, at 9 a.m. This session "will be chaired by Mr. Mamadou Diawara, the oldest member of the National Assembly," specifies the communiqué signed by the Secretary General of the institution, Diomandé Aboubacar Sidiki.

For the election of the president

The agenda is exclusively dedicated to the election of the President of the National Assembly. A key step in the installation of the institution's new leadership and the effective start of legislative work.

The elected members of parliament are therefore invited to honor with their presence this solemn session which marks the entry into office of the new National Assembly.
