An 11-year-old girl, named Mariama Diallo, was abducted on the morning of Monday, November 17, 2025, in the Simambossia district, located in the commune of Lambanyi.

According to initial information gathered from her family, the young girl was allegedly picked up by an unidentified woman who arrived on a motorcycle.

According to the testimony of the victim's mother, Djenabou Diallo, the abduction took place while her daughter was in her sewing workshop, not far from the family home.

“Yesterday morning, she woke up to wash the kitchen utensils before going to her workshop. But after her breakfast, she went straight to work. When I came into the kitchen, I saw that nothing had been washed. I cleaned myself, then I went to join her in the workshop, but she was no longer there,” said the distraught mother.

At the scene, a friend of Mariama's, who was present when the incident occurred, reported that a woman on a motorcycle arrived, called the girl over, and asked her to get on before driving off with her. Alerted, the family immediately contacted the local authorities. "We searched everywhere, we went to the police station and around the neighborhood to report her missing," said Djenabou Diallo.

Later that evening, a neighbor reportedly confirmed seeing a woman help Mariama onto a motorcycle before speeding away.

Today, the Diallo family lives in anguish. "We don't know where our daughter is. We ask the competent authorities to help us find her," implores the mother, also calling on the entire community to be vigilant and show solidarity.
