Législatives en Côte d’Ivoire : Ces ministres de Ouattara qui postulent pour des postes de députés

Following the presidential election of October 25th, Ivory Coast will now hold legislative elections. The vote is scheduled for December 27th.

The ruling party, the Rally of Houphouëtists for Democracy and Peace (RHDP), has already published its official list of candidates. It includes prominent associates of President Ouattara, such as his younger brother, Téné Birahima Ouattara, Minister of State and Minister of Defense. He is running for a seat in Abobo, in the autonomous district of Abidjan.

Souleymane Diarrassouba is running in the Yamoussoukro autonomous district

His colleague, Minister of Transport Amadou Koné, is running in the Gbêké region, in Bouaké, as is Sidi Tiémoko Touré, Minister of Animal and Fisheries Resources.

Adama Kamara, Minister of Employment and Social Protection, is running for a seat in Kabadougou, in Odienné. His counterpart, Nialé Kaba, Minister of Planning and Development, will be the party's standard-bearer in Bounkani.

Anne Désirée Ouloto, Minister of State and Minister of Public Service, will lead the RHDP list in the Cavally region. As for the Minister of Tourism, Siandou Fofana, he will represent the party in the Indénié-Djuablin region (Abengourou).

The Minister of Trade and Industry, Souleymane Diarrassouba, is visiting the autonomous district of Yamoussoukro.

Prime Minister Beugré Mambé will also be giving his all.

Adama Diawara, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, will be running in Yopougon, while his colleague, Dogo Belmonde Myss Logboh, will be running in the Gôh region of Gagnoa. Logboh is the Minister of National Cohesion, Solidarity, and the Fight Against Poverty.

Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé will also be at the forefront, representing the RHDP in the Songon constituency. Vice President Tiémoko Meyliet Koné will also be a prominent figure in the Hambol region.

Adding to this impressive array of candidates is former Prime Minister Patrick Achi, a candidate in the Mé region, in Adzopé. He is currently a Minister of State and special advisor to President Alassane Ouattara.

Obviously, none of these people will go to Parliament once elected. They will most likely give their seats to alternates.
