Législatives en Côte d’Ivoire : Un bœuf immolé en pleine rue, près de l’affiche d’une candidate

It's a most unusual event. In Ivory Coast, a slaughtered ox was found near a campaign poster featuring Rebecca Yao, a candidate in tomorrow's legislative elections, Saturday, December 27. Images of this curious scene quickly circulated on social media, generating numerous comments.

"The BIBLE says: They will fight against me, but they will not overcome me (Jeremiah 1:19)"

Rebecca Yao, who was touring the villages of Diabo-Languibonou, also posted photos of the scene on her Facebook page, not without professing her faith.

"The BIBLE says: They will fight against me, but they will not overcome me (Jeremiah 1:19). I believe in God and in HIS WORD," she wrote.

As a reminder, Rebecca Yao is the deputy national secretary in charge of the associative sector for the RHDP, the ruling party. For these legislative elections, she has chosen to run as an independent candidate in the Diabo-Languibonou constituency (Gbêkê region).
