Nigéria : Dangote révèle ce que Trump pense de sa méga-raffinerie à 20 milliards de dollars
Aliko Dangote, the Chairman and CEO of the Dangote Group, held a press conference on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at his oil refinery in Lagos. During this media appearance, the Nigerian billionaire refuted allegations that US President Donald Trump was unhappy with the establishment of his oil refinery. Indeed, some on social media had claimed that threats of US intervention against terrorists in Nigeria were linked to the activities of Dangote's refinery.
"That's false."
According to Africa's wealthiest man, the White House occupant is quite pleased with the existence of such an oil facility. "The United States is one of our main suppliers of crude oil, which is why it's false to say that Trump is not satisfied with our refinery. Trump is more than satisfied with our refinery, given the importance of the activities carried out there," the Nigerian industrialist stated.
It should be noted that, in addition to the United States, Dangote's factory buys crude oil from Ghana and other countries due to insufficient domestic production. According to Africa's richest man, his country does not yet produce enough crude oil to meet the needs of his refinery.
