Présidentielle en Côte d’Ivoire : Pascal Affi N’Guessan dépose une plainte contre X, après le rejet de sa candidature

The president of the Ivorian Popular Front (FPI), Pascal Affi N'Guessan, does not intend to remain inactive in the face of the rejection of his candidacy for the Ivorian presidential election. Yesterday, Tuesday, September 23, he filed a complaint against unknown persons with the public prosecutor.

In the complaint, the FPI leader claims that the Constitutional Council relied on a "falsified document" to invalidate his candidacy.

"The document that served as the basis for the invalidation of our application is not the one we submitted..."

"We had declared that we reject this decision because we consider that the document which served as the basis for the invalidation of our candidacy is not the one which we had submitted to the CEI (Independent Electoral Commission)," declared Mr. Affi N'Guessan after filing the complaint.

He continued: "This falsified document stated that we had presented 46,000 sponsors, while our file included 44,000; it indicated sponsorship in 33 regions, while we had precisely 20; and it reported 21,000 false sponsors, which we strongly dispute."

It was at the CEI level that the "fraudulent modification of documents" took place.

The FPI leader expects the Ivorian justice system to recognize that the decision taken by the Constitutional Council is based on a "falsified document" and authorize his participation in the next presidential elections.

He remains convinced that it was at the level of the CEI that the "fraudulent modification of documents" took place.
