Here, the political will so dear to PM Ousmane Sonko is opposed and hindered by political reality. Senegal, as of 08/10/2025, does not have the means to implement its policy. It will then be necessary to implement the policy within its means.
Moral: Given the current state of the Senegalese economy and its public finances, Senegal cannot do without FRANCE, nor the European Union, and even less so the IMF and the World Bank.
And any stubbornness and blindness would be collective suicide and permanent shipwreck.

Assimiler le voyage du PM en Turquie à un appel au secours est vraiment réducteur et en total contradiction avec le contenu des discussions entre les deux parties.
Ramener tout l'enjeu des échanges actuels entre les deux pays à une question de prisonniers à rapatrier est trop simpliste et ne me paraît pas digne de votre statut d'analyste pointu sur les questions de géopolitique.
Enfin, tout le monde sait que le Sénégal n'entend pas rompre avec le FMI, la BM et la France. Le bruit court déjà d'un prochain voyage de hautes autorités sénégalaises en France et en Europe dans les prochains mois.
Donc, les choses se font, mais à un rythme et selon une approche maîtrisée.
Apparemment lui aussi a dû recevoir sa part du butin pour créer un parti politique et s'opposer
