80e A.G. des Nations Unies : Le Président Diomaye reçoit un message du Chef de l’État ivoirien, Alassane Ouattara
On the occasion of his participation in the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, President Bassirou Diomaye Faye granted an audience to Mr. Patrick Achi, Minister of State and Special Advisor to Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara. Carrying a message from the Ivorian Head of State, Mr. Archi was accompanied by Mr. Fidèle Sarassoro, Minister and Chief of Staff to the Ivorian President, as well as Mr. Léon Kacou Adom, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
This meeting provided an opportunity for both parties to discuss bilateral relations between Senegal and Côte d'Ivoire, which are considered exemplary in West Africa. The discussions focused primarily on the bonds of brotherhood, friendship, and cooperation between the two countries, which have a long history of collaboration and solidarity.
The Senegalese President and the Ivorian delegation also discussed ways to further strengthen these relations and promote the common interests of the two countries in the region and beyond, particularly in the context of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, which will begin this Tuesday, September 23, 2025, in New York.
