La Cour des comptes du Sénégal élue au Comité directeur de l’INTOSAI
The Court of Auditors of Senegal was elected to the Steering Committee of INTOSAI, the global organization of supreme audit institutions, at the conclusion of the 25th Congress (INCOSAI) held in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, from October 27 to 31, 2025. This appointment, widely welcomed by the participating delegations, confirms the international recognition of Senegalese expertise in budget transparency, accountability and financial governance.
By joining this committee of some twenty influential members, the Court of Auditors will participate in defining the strategic directions and institutional reforms of INTOSAI until the next congress. This role gives Senegal a decision-making voice in the global governance of public auditing, alongside major Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) such as those of the United States, South Africa, and Brazil.
This election illustrates the institutional maturation of the Court of Auditors, whose recent work on debt management and local finances has strengthened its credibility. It also paves the way for increased technical cooperation with other financial jurisdictions, particularly in the areas of digital auditing, training, and the modernization of control tools.
