Assemblée nationale : Le budget 2026 du ministère des Infrastructures adopté
The National Assembly adopted the budget for the Ministry of Infrastructure on Monday, December 8, 2025, following a plenary session. Of the 165 registered members, 140 voted, including 14 proxy votes. The result: 134 votes in favor, no votes against, and 6 abstentions.
The ministry's 2026 budget is set at 728,427,280,128 CFA francs in commitment authorizations (CA) and 716,129,572,271 CFA francs in payment appropriations (PA). This substantial allocation, primarily earmarked for investments, reflects the government's ambition to boost national infrastructure and reduce territorial disparities, according to Déthié Fall.
It comprises the following programs: the Road and Rail Program, a pillar of the strategy, with 486.8 billion CFA francs in commitment appropriations (CA) and 483.6 billion CFA francs in payment appropriations (PA); the Territorial Equity and Development of Clusters Program, with 73.2 billion CFA francs in CA and 68.2 billion CFA francs in PA; the Port and Airport Infrastructure Program, with 12.61 billion CFA francs in CA and 8.56 billion CFA francs in PA; and the Steering, Coordination, and Administrative Management Program, with 498.2 million CFA francs, allocated as follows: personnel expenses: 212.6 million CFA francs, and goods and services: 285.5 million CFA francs. This budget aims to ensure the smooth administrative functioning of the ministry.
