Recapitalisation, Banque postale, réduction de l’effectif…: les 15 mesures de Sonko pour sortir la Poste du gouffre !
Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko and his government want La Poste Group to emerge from its agony and become a powerful tool for economic, social, digital, and financial inclusion. To achieve this, a strategic vision has been drawn up. To make it a reality, some fifteen measures were identified at the end of the interministerial meeting dedicated to the Group's revival this Monday.
Among these fifteen measures is the recapitalization of the La Poste Group. The Prime Minister instructed his relevant ministers to "finalize the recapitalization process of SN La Poste before December 2025." This is a crucial step in strengthening equity, restoring solvency, and reviving the Group's strategic activities.
Ousmane Sonko requested that the financial statements of La Poste be updated and that the State Treasurer, in conjunction with the Minister of Communication, ensure the validation of the Strategic Development Plan before December 2025.
He also ordered the rationalization of staff. On this subject, the head of government gave instructions for the implementation of "the negotiated departure plan, the first phase of which must be finalized by December 2025 at the latest." However, he wants this crucial mission to be carried out while maintaining a peaceful social climate, in particular by securing the resources necessary to pay employees' salaries. He requested that "a skills assessment" be drawn up.
Regarding the settlement of tax and social security debts, the head of government gave instructions to the ministers concerned to "proceed with a gracious remission of tax debts estimated at 6,196,975,905 FCFA", to preserve the Group's financial assets, to ensure the settlement of the social security debt of 2 billion FCFA and to proceed with the repayment of other debts.
The other measure decided for the revival of the Post Office is related to the strengthening of the services of Ems Senegal. In this regard, the head of government invited the Minister of Foreign Affairs to entrust Ems Senegal with "the transport of diplomatic bags, in order to revitalize its services and strengthen the role of La Poste as the State's preferred logistics provider."
Ousmane Sonko also requested the establishment of a framework for collaboration between La Poste and the Treasury as part of the implementation of the "Sen Trésor" platform, to proceed with the domiciliation of payments from the benefits of sports competitions and support for cultural actors. He requested that parapublic sector entities such as the Der/Fj and the Dgspn, favor the La Poste network for mass payments.
The Prime Minister specifically called for a roadmap for the creation of a Postal Bank, open to private capital, by 2029 at the latest. He also wants to add a national email service to provide certified official email addresses to citizens and to explore the possibility of positioning La Poste in activities such as insurance brokerage.
Ousmane Sonko also invited all ministries and public bodies to prioritize the use of La Poste's logistics and financial services for their needs and to support La Poste in developing an offer adapted to e-commerce, in collaboration with local SMEs and start-ups.

Je souhaite que Sonko réussisse ce coup mais je demeure pessimiste !
Vous verrez et entendrez Firaouna Sall, parlant aux travailleurs de la poste, et aux différents directeurs qu'il a eu à nommer, dire que "la poste a une charge de 19 milliards et seulement une rentrée de 6 milliards de subventions de l'état, ce qui fait un gap de 13 milliards qu'il faut aller chercher ". Et il disait que le "redressement de la poste ne sera pas viable si chaque directeur ne faisait que recruter ses militants ".
Qui a gonflé les effectifs de la poste (et de tous les services du Sénégal) ? L'APR et BBY. Pourquoi ? Parce que c'est Firaouna Sall qui leur a dit qu'il limogera celui qui ne gagnera pas les ³l'étions dans sa localité. Ils leur fallait s'assurer des militants mercenaires. Et c'est Firaouna Sall lui-même qui finit par dire qu'ils en ont trop fait au point de couler des boîtes du Sénégal.
Et notez que quand ils ont quitté le pouvoir, on n'a pas inventé la notion "d'emplois fictifs, pour limoger ceux qu'ils ont laissés pour recruter d'autres. Ce qu'ils avaient fait en 2012 en inventant des "emplois fictifs à l'UCAD, au Port, à la mairie de St Louis (exemples qui me reviennent à la tête).
Quand je vous dis que l'histoire du Sénégal n'a pas connu plus inhumains que les membres de la secte APR... Et ce sont les mêmes qui vont venir commenter que Sonko a échoué.

L’ancien joueur ne retrouvera pas la liberté après une nouvelle décision de la Cour suprême. Le Brésilien continue de clamer son innocence, malgré une condamnation à neuf ans de prison pour viol collectif.
De manière générale je suggère à l'état de lancer des appels à candidatures dans les entreprises stratégiques et choisir de bons profils qui auraient permis la relance de ces entreprises sans même une intervention du premier ministre. Il est évident que la poste sonacos,... ce sont des entités qui peuvent rapidement être rentable mais faudrait il juste avoir les bonnes compétences au niveau de leurs équipes dirigeantes. Je demeure convaincu qu'à la tête de la poste je demanderai juste 2 ans pour en faire une entreprise rentable et assurant pleinement un rôle moteur pour l'inclusion économique, sociale, numérique et financière
