Hydrologie du fleuve Sénégal: la baisse du niveau se poursuit
This Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 8 a.m., the level of the Senegal River measured at the Podor gauge, located at the Quai Elhadj Boubou Sall, is 5.73 meters, compared to 5.76 meters the day before at the same time.
A decrease of 3 centimeters was therefore recorded in 24 hours.
For comparison, the level recorded at the same time in 2024 was 5.81 meters, confirming a downward trend this year.
It is important to remember that the alert level set at 5 meters for Podor has been exceeded since September 14, 2025, which keeps the area under heightened vigilance.
Faced with this development, the authorities and riverside populations are urged to remain cautious, vigilant and mobilized to prevent any risk related to the dynamics of the river.
