Fille de 11 ans égorgée à Warang : « je n'ai plus de larmes », la mère de la victime parlele de
Eleven-year-old A. Diouf, whose body was found in an abandoned building in Warang, on the Petite-Côte, was fatherless. According to L'Observateur, her mother, N. Fall, is going through a terrible ordeal: widowed just two months ago, she must now cope with the tragic loss of her only daughter.
Rewinding the horror film, the newspaper of the Future Media Group recounts: “N. Fall, widowed for two months, entrusts her young daughter, A. Diouf, with a simple task: to fetch some groceries from the corner shop. The 11-year-old girl complies, like thousands of children every day. She does her shopping, pays, leaves. And then, nothing. A black hole.”
The hours pass. Night falls. No sign of A. Diouf. The mother feels her heart sink. She runs to the shop. The shopkeeper is adamant: “She left immediately after making her purchases.” Growing increasingly worried, the mother rushes to the school. The doors are closed. They explain: no classes because of the national exam.
Everything changed the next day, Tuesday, May 12th. As anxiety gradually spread through the village, N. Fall refused to give in to despair. After a sleepless night, she resumed the search at the crack of dawn with several residents of the neighborhood. Guided by her instinct, she and a few women went to a mango orchard located away from the village, where several abandoned buildings stood.
The search then took a dramatic turn. While inspecting one of the ruined rooms, the mother spotted clothing, then hair protruding from a pile of rubble and pieces of brick. Very quickly, the horror was confirmed: her daughter's lifeless body lay there, half-buried. The women accompanying her initially tried to lure her away by making her believe it was a boy, but the investigators' initial findings would later reveal a particularly violent crime. "A. Diouf was raped. Then her throat was slit."
Devastated by this new tragedy after the recent disappearance of her husband, N. Fall tells L'Observateur that she has "no more tears to cry".
