Italie : le Sénégalais sort la cocaïne de sa bouche et la remet à son client, les policiers ont tout vu
A 42-year-old Senegalese man, whose identity has not been released, was arrested last Monday in Genoa, Italy, for alleged drug dealing. As part of an effort to combat drug trafficking, local police had set up a street surveillance operation. From their observation post, according to Les Échos, investigators saw the suspect "extract a small package from his mouth and then hand it to a customer: it was a dose of cocaine."
Following his arrest, the newspaper continues, the emigrant was subjected to a search which proved fruitful: the police "found nine more doses of cocaine, or about five grams, as well as 110 euros (71,500 CFA francs) in cash."
The same source reports that a search of the suspect's home led to the seizure of 950 euros (617,500 CFA francs), which investigators believe to be "the proceeds of illicit activity."
"The client [of the alleged dealer], a 53-year-old Italian, has been reported to the Genoa prefecture. The Senegalese man has been placed under house arrest pending an immediate or short-term court appearance," adds Les Échos.
