The port city of Tianjin will host the 25th summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) on August 31 and September 1, 2025, bringing together around twenty heads of state and government.

Chinese President Xi Jinping, the host of this edition, hosted a reception on Sunday in honor of the delegations before the official opening of the summit on Monday.

Participants include Russian President Vladimir Putin, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian.
