Gambien arrêté pour le viol d'une femme de 60 ans en Italie : La réaction "violente" de Matteo Salvini
In Italy, a Gambian immigrant was arrested on Tuesday, August 26, at Rome's Termini station after robbing and raping a 60-year-old woman in Tor Tre Teste Park last Sunday. The 26-year-old had been living in the country since 2016 on a humanitarian permit. He had obtained a residence permit in 2024 and was working as a laborer in a company in the town of Guidonia. He had no criminal record.
After his arrest, the Gambian admitted the crime, saying he had acted under the influence of drugs, purchased minutes before his crime in the nearby Quarticciolo neighborhood, a short walk from the park. The 26-year-old's actions were commented on by the leader of the League, Matteo Salvini. The vice-president of the Italian government stated on X-rated television that this type of criminal should be castrated.
"Chemical castration," advocates Salvini
"Gambian, illegal immigrant, drug addict. He starts by stealing, then rapes a 60-year-old woman. The League, a far-right party, persists in believing that chemical castration is the solution against pedophiles and rapists (already tested in many other countries, including by left-wing governments) to prevent them from committing the worst violence that women and children can suffer," the Italian politician said on Elon Musk's network.
