Colombian President Gustavo Petro expelled the Israeli diplomatic delegation from the South American country on Wednesday, October 1, after Israeli forces intercepted the Gaza flotilla. The left-wing leader called the interception an "international crime" and denounced the arrest of two Colombian women "in international waters."
Colombia severed diplomatic relations with Israel in 2024, although it retained four Israelis with diplomatic status there, according to a source interviewed by AFP.
