Le gouverneur qui a annoncé la mort de deux militaires à Washington revient en arrière

The US governor who announced the deaths of two National Guard soldiers in shootings near the White House on Wednesday reversed his statement shortly afterwards, saying he had received "conflicting information" about their condition.

"We are now receiving conflicting reports about the condition of our two National Guardsmen and we will keep you updated on the situation when we have more complete information," said Patrick Morrisey, the governor of West Virginia, the state they are from, on X.

About twenty minutes earlier, he had said that the two soldiers had died.

"It is with great sadness that I can confirm that the two West Virginia National Guard members who were shot earlier today in Washington have succumbed to their injuries," he wrote on X.

President Donald Trump stated on Truth Social that the two soldiers had been "seriously wounded".
