Trump désigne l’Arabie saoudite comme «allié majeur non-membre de l’OTAN»
The US president made the announcement during a dinner held at the White House in honor of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Donald Trump on Tuesday designated Saudi Arabia as a "major non-NATO ally" during a gala dinner at the White House in honor of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who was visiting Washington.
"Tonight, I am delighted to announce that we are taking our military cooperation to even greater heights by formally designating Saudi Arabia as a major non-NATO ally, which is something very important to them," the US president said.
Nineteen countries currently benefit from this privileged status which provides for close military cooperation with the United States.
