Accident et conduite sans permis : Ce que dit Azoura Fall devant les enquêteurs
Accused of having driven into the security barrier of a mosque in the Medina, injuring a taxi driver of foreign nationality, Pastef activist Assane Guèye gave his version of events to investigators from the Accident Section of the Traffic Company of the Central Police Station of Dakar, according to Seneweb sources.
According to Azoura Fall's statements, he was returning from work in his vehicle and, upon arriving at his home, he stopped to allow the faithful to finish their prayer.
Afterward, he was driving slowly to park, but they prevented him from approaching, according to Azoura. It was at this moment that an individual collapsed to the ground, claiming to have been hit by his vehicle.
This is how the crowd tried to lynch him, believing he had deliberately rammed into the people who, he said, were trying to stop him from reaching the barrier of the Suna Malick mosque. According to his statement, following the collision, some young men smashed the windshield of his vehicle and stole his bag containing money.
The victim, meanwhile, suffered only minor injuries (scratches and an ankle injury), according to Seneweb sources. Firefighters, alerted to the incident, transported her to Abass Ndao Hospital for treatment.
When asked to present his driver's license, he initially claimed to have lost it, before admitting that he did not have one, specifying that he was in the process of converting his military driving license into a civilian license.
Azoura Fall was brought before the court for driving without a license, resulting in involuntary injury, as was his friend Serigne Saliou Fall, who was charged with lending a vehicle to someone without a driver's license. They were both remanded in custody.
