Affaire Farba Ngom : son frère et son co-prévenu quittent la prison

Demba Ngom, brother of MP Farba Ngom, and his co-defendant Abdou Aziz Kane have been released from prison. Libération reports that the release order issued last Monday by the Financial Indictment Chamber has taken effect, as the prosecution did not appeal.

However, the same source specifies that this freedom remains under control: the two men have been placed under electronic surveillance.

As a reminder, they were arrested last April by the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC). They are being prosecuted for complicity in fraud and money laundering in a case involving 31 billion CFA francs traced by the National Financial Information Processing Unit (Centif).

Aucune logique dans toutes ces accusations qui vont finir par des non-lieux. Des hommes d'affaires ne peuvent pas détourner de l'argent du contribuable sénégalais à coup de dizaines et de centaines de milliards sans que le trésor et les fonctionnaires du ministère des Finances ne soient inquiétés.
