Affaire Pape Malick Ndour : La CCR dénonce une décision "injuste" de la Cour suprême
The Convergence of Republican Executives (CCR) expresses its strong indignation following the Supreme Court's decision ordering the detention of its coordinator, Pape Malick Ndour, on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
"After taking note of the ruling issued this Tuesday, April 28, 2026, by the Supreme Court, the CCR expresses its indignation at a decision that sanctions a case marked, from its inception, by numerous inconsistencies, serious legal challenges, and profound questions about respect for the fundamental principles of justice and fairness," reads a statement from the CCR, which condemns a "profoundly unjust" decision.
According to the coordination, this legal development fuels the feeling of targeted treatment against a political opponent, whose commitment and freedom of speech are said to be the cause of the proceedings brought against him.
"The CCR reiterates that Pape Malick Ndour remains presumed innocent. Therefore, no media frenzy, no political pressure, no attempt at preemptive condemnation can replace the law, the truth and the fundamental guarantees recognized to every person subject to the law in a state governed by the rule of law," the statement said.
Beyond this case, the organization says it is concerned about a climate of suspicion surrounding certain procedures involving political actors, insisting on the need to preserve the independence and impartiality of the justice system.
The CCR finally reaffirms its "total and unreserved" support for Pape Malick Ndour, as well as for his family and loved ones, in this ordeal.
