BR de Faidherbe : Le chroniqueur Sa Wolof libre après son audition
Columnist Abdoulaye Cissé, better known as "Sa Wolof," from the web TV channel Feeling Dakar, was released from the Faidherbe investigation unit, where he was resummoned on Monday, October 27. Following his hearing, the prosecutor ordered that the file be forwarded to him as a judicial investigation, according to Seneweb sources.
Indeed, the main person concerned in this case, Serigne Pape Makhtar Kébé, clearly stated that he had forgiven the columnist and was not filing a complaint, according to the investigation.
As a reminder, followers of the Hadara Malickiya of Tivaouane, Malikia TV and the Hadara Seydil Hadji Malick Sy RTA had taken Abdoulaye Cissé to court for comments deemed insulting to the Islamic scholar, Dr. Serigne Pape Makhtar Kébé, and the Tidiane brotherhood. The columnist for Feeling Dakar is accused of "public insult, defamation and slander via the Internet," according to the same complaint.
Following the outcry caused by his comments on Feeling Dakar TV, Sa Wolof publicly apologized to Serigne Pape Makhtar Kébé and the Tidiane brotherhood. The religious leader even granted him forgiveness after a discussion.
