Escroquerie : Elle vend la villa de son époux à son insu pour 42 millions de FCFA
The Dakar court of summary jurisdiction delivered its verdict on January 14, 2026, in a peculiar fraud case involving Ms. F. Tall. After twenty years of marriage, the defendant was found guilty of selling a house belonging to her husband without his knowledge.
The buyer, N. Cissé, a Senegalese man living abroad, had paid 42 million CFA francs before realizing he would never obtain the title deed. Faced with this impasse, he filed a complaint with the Parcelles Assainies police.
During the investigation, the accused woman attempted to justify her actions by claiming she had obtained her husband's approval to settle bank debts and release goods held up at the port. This version of events was categorically denied by her husband. In court, although she initially denied the charges, F. Tall eventually admitted her mistake. Despite the betrayal, her husband remained steadfast in his support, stating his determination to help her repay the victim.
Financially, an initial payment of 5 million FCFA had been deposited with the police. During the hearing, her lawyers, Takha Cissé, Adja Diallo, and Aliou Sow, paid an additional 5 million FCFA, bringing the current repayment to 10 million FCFA. The defense pleaded for leniency, arguing that their client's release was essential to liquidate her stock at the port and settle the remaining 32 million FCFA.
For his part, the lawyer for the plaintiff, Mr. Ousseynou Gaye, demanded 60 million FCFA in compensation for the damages suffered. The public prosecutor deferred to the court's judgment while requesting the application of criminal law.
Delivering its verdict, the court found F. Tall guilty of fraud. She was sentenced to three months' imprisonment, suspended, and ordered to pay 35 million FCFA in damages to the plaintiff.
