Mandat d’arrêt international : Un sénégalais arrêté par la police marocaine pour meurtre présumé (Dgsn)
The Moroccan General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) announced the arrest on [website name missing]. It stated that a Senegalese national was arrested pursuant to an international arrest warrant issued by Senegalese judicial authorities, "on suspicion of involvement in a premeditated murder." The DGSN also indicated that this individual is being investigated for receiving stolen goods, the man's identity was not disclosed.
According to the Moroccan press, the arrest took place in the rural area of Aït Amira, in the province of Chtouka Aït Baha. A check of his identity in the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) database confirmed that he was wanted internationally. A red notice had been issued at the request of the Senegalese judicial authorities in connection with this case.
The suspect was thus placed under extradition proceedings in accordance with the instructions of the competent public prosecutor's office. Interpol's Central Bureau in Rabat also informed the Senegalese authorities of this arrest in order to initiate the necessary steps for his surrender.
