Justice : Viviane Chidid expulsée du Victoria Club
Senegalese singer Viviane Chidid has just suffered a legal setback. The court has ordered the closure of her establishment, the Victoria Club, located on Rue Victor Hugo in Dakar. According to Les Échos, which reported the news in its Thursday, October 23, edition, this decision follows a dispute between the artist and the Fil Sam company, the owner of the premises, which obtained the termination of the commercial lease, the eviction of Viviane Chidid, and an order for her to pay legal costs.
This ruling ends several months of tensions surrounding the lease of the club, which over the years has become a hotspot for Dakar nightlife. The newspaper, citing sources close to the case, reports that late rent payments are believed to be the cause of the dispute.
For the time being, Viviane Chidid has not yet reacted publicly, and it is not known whether she intends to appeal the decision, the same source specifies.
