Ndiassane célèbre la mémoire de Cheikh Bou Mouhamed Kounta
The religious city of Ndiassane mobilized disciples of the Khadriya brotherhood from several localities across the country this Tuesday. They commemorated the 112th edition of the Night of Sheikh Bou Mouhamed, commonly known as "Guddi Sheikh Bou", coinciding with the 14th of Saahban 1447 in the Muslim calendar.
The ceremony took place in the presence of numerous religious, administrative, and local authorities from the Tivaouane department. It was punctuated by recitations from the Holy Quran and religious songs performed by Cheikh Bouh Diop, a renowned singer from the Kounta family.
Placed under the theme "Spiritual attachment to the method of Sheikh Bou Mouhamed Kounta", this year's edition emphasized the spiritual and educational legacy of the founder of Ndiassane.
The official ceremony was presided over by Serigne Mouhamed Kounta, representative of the Caliph General of Ndiassane. In his address, he reminded the faithful of the fundamental values of Islam and the importance of drawing inspiration from the teachings and exemplary life of Sheikh Bou Mouhamed Kounta.
On behalf of the general caliph Sheikh Bou Sidy Makhtar Kounta, he offered prayers for peace and stability in Senegal, as well as for the success of the authorities in place.
