Vidéos offensantes sur Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba : Turaas saisit le procureur
The Turaas platform has alerted national and international public opinion to the persistence of degrading content targeting the image of Sheikh Ahmadou Bamba and Senegalese spiritual leaders on social media, Seneweb learned from Dr. Serigne Khadim Ngom, the organization's spiritual leader. Faced with the proliferation of offensive videos and images circulating online, Turaas has taken several actions, including sending an official letter to the Minister of the Interior requesting a firm response from the State, and filing a complaint with the Public Prosecutor to identify and prosecute those responsible for this content.
The platform has also launched a campaign to report TikTok accounts disseminating these posts deemed offensive to the dignity of religious figures in Senegal.
Turaas, whose mission is the preservation of the spiritual and cultural heritage of Sheikh Ahmadou Bamba, affirms its determination to continue its actions to protect the image of the founder of Mouridism and of all the religious leaders of the country.
