Santé mentale et médicaments essentiels : Guy Marius Sagna alerte sur une série de ruptures critiques
The availability of essential medicines continues to cause serious concern in Senegal. In a written question addressed to the Minister of Health, Member of Parliament Guy Marius Sagna raised the alarm about the prolonged shortage of Largactil, a key neuroleptic medication used to treat mental illnesses. According to the MP, this medication has been unavailable in pharmacies for some time, plunging many patients and their families into despair. Faced with this situation, he is asking the Minister for precise clarification on the causes of this shortage, the expected date for a return to normal supply, and, above all, the structural measures being considered to prevent such shortages from recurring.
This situation is unfortunately not an isolated case. The MP points out that this is his third interpellation in less than a month concerning vital health products. Before Largactil, alerts had already been issued regarding Tenofovir, an antiretroviral essential for patients living with HIV, as well as the Hexavalent vaccine, indispensable to the infant vaccination program.
Faced with the recurrence of these episodes, Guy Marius Sagna expresses widespread concern about the reliability of the national supply chain. He directly challenges health authorities regarding the actual stock levels across the country and demands transparent explanations for the affected populations. The recurring nature of these shortages raises crucial questions about pharmaceutical sovereignty and the management of the National Supply Pharmacy (PNA), at a time when access to basic healthcare remains a major social priority.

Autrement, les problèmes vont empirer.
Les autorités ne semblent pas accorder une importance sur le choix des personnes et cela va avoir des conséquences désastreuses pour la population, surtout dans le domaine de la Santé.
