3 Bissau-Guinéens arrêtés à Keur Massar : 25 kg de cocaïne d'une valeur d'un milliard de F CFA saisis par la gendarmerie
As part of the fight against drug trafficking, the National Gendarmerie's Anti-Drug Unit (GLAD) conducted a large-scale operation in Keur Massar on Sunday, December 15, 2024. This operation led to the dismantling of a hard drug and counterfeit currency trafficking network run by nationals of Guinea-Bissau, and the arrest of three individuals, according to information provided to Seneweb by Colonel Ibrahima Ndiaye.
Following a cross-checking of information, the police placed the suspects under discreet surveillance before launching a targeted operation which proved successful.
The results of this operation are significant, with the seizure of 25 kilograms of cocaine, packaged in one-kilogram packets, with a total estimated value of one billion two hundred and fifty million CFA francs (1,250,000,000 CFA francs); 4 packets of 100-gram hashish, valued at 400,000 CFA francs; 45 grams of ecstasy, with an estimated value of 315,000 CFA francs; a vehicle and several bundles of counterfeit banknotes.
